Indian customs and traditions

Indian customs and traditions

India's culture is among the world's most established civilizations in India started around 4,500 years prior. Numerous sources portray it as "Sa Prathama Sanskrati Vishvavara" — the first and the preeminent culture on the planet, as indicated by the All World Gayatri Pariwar (AWGP) association.

Western social orders did not generally see Indian customs positively, as per Christina De Rossi, an anthropologist at Barnet and Southgate College in London. Early anthropologists once considered culture as a transformative procedure, and each part of human advancement was seen as determined by development. Nonetheless, Indians made huge advances in structural planning (Taj Mahal), science (the innovation of zero) and pharmaceutical (Ayurveda). Today, India is an extremely differing nation, with more than 1.2 billion individuals, as indicated by the CIA World Fact book, making it the second most crowded country after China. Diverse areas have their own particular Indian traditions. Dialect, religion, nourishment and expressions of the human experience are only a portion of the different parts of Indian culture. Here is a short outline of the culture of India.

India has 28 states and seven regions, as per the World Health Organization. There is no official dialect in India, as indicated by a Gujarat High Court controlling in 2010. Numerous individuals living in India likewise write in Devanagari script. Indeed, it is a misinterpretation tahat the lion's share of individuals in India talk Hindi. Despite the fact that numerous individuals talk Hindi in India, 59 percent of India occupants talk an option that is other than Hindi, as per The Times of India. Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil and Urdu are some different dialects talked in the nation.

Indian Monuments and their History

India is very well known for their history and their historical locations. The history of India is based on the people and events that once took place in India.

The three main historical monuments that give one of the greatest experience and knowledge about the cultures of India is the Taj Mahal in Agra, Delhi, the Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) in Amritsar, Punjab and the Hawa Mahal in Rajasthan, Jaipur.  I am going to give a brief explanation about the three monuments.

Taj Mahal’s history is based on love, the Harmandir Sahib is based on religion and the Hawa Mahal is based on architecture. I think the winner from the three monuments would be the Taj Mahal. Everyone would want to hear a monument that is built in the history of India based on a love story. I am sure that when people will hear the story their hearts will melt and would wish for their significant other to build one for them.

So, the prince Shah Jahan was strolling down a bazaar (outlet shops) and had walked past gorgeous women by the name of Mumtaz Mahal and all I can say that moment was love at first sight. I would call it as young love as they were just teenagers. After that day Shah Jahan went back to his father Jahangir and asked him if he can have Mumtaz’s hand in marriage. And after 5 years they got married at the year 1612.  In 1628, Shah Jahan became the emperor and made Mumtaz his Queen.

In reality her name is Arjumand Banu but he gave the name Mumtaz because it means the Jewel of the Palace. When Mumtaz gave birth to their 14th child, she died because there were issues. When she was on her deathbed, Shah Jahan gave his word has he will remarry and build the most beautiful, precious tomb over her grave.

It took Shah Jahan 22 years and 22,000 worked to build this historical monument. When Shah Jahan died, his body was placed to the tomb next to Mumtaz’s.  In the history of India this monument took the longest time to build, and is also known as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It should be something to be proud and yet it’s close to my heart. And love and respect plays a huge role in the culture of India

The Geography of India

India is the 7th largest country in world when it comes to its vast area. The Indian map constitutes of 29 states in total. There are 5 regions in India- North, South, Central, East and West parts.

Each state has its own kind of terrain, wildlife, ecosystem and climates. This is what makes the geography of India so diverse.

States like Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Sikkim, and Himachal Pradesh are very famous for its greenery and nature. Jammu and Kashmir is located on this top most part of the Indian map where you could find the highest peak of India, the infamous Mount Everest. On the other hand, you have the state of Rajasthan, the land of deserts, sand dunes and camels. The climate of Rajasthan is very extreme. It gets really hot in the summer and really cold in the winter.

The western part of India is situated on the coastal side where it is surrounded by the Arabian Sea. Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa are the states that make up the western India. These states are famous for the one of the most greenest and dense forests and the infamous mountain ranges called the Western Ghats. The western India climate is tropical because of its coasts.

Another part of the Indian map would be the south India.  South India consists of the states of Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. These states are famous for their lush and dense forests. On the eastern side of India, you have the Indian rivers that meet and make up the Delta. The states of West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Assam make up the eastern India.
